Rapid urbanization in the Pearl River Delta has given birth to clusters of cities within a short period of time and these cities vary greatly from each other. During the urbanization process, each individual within is affected by various factors, such as the power systems and mechanism, the “PRD value” generated jointly by planned economy and market economy, the continuous and large-scale immigration phenomenon and the cultures that interact and co-exist with each other in the diverse society, contributing to the creation of the “new Hakkas” culture in PRD.

The Bay Bar, using tea and alcoholic drinks as the links in public activities, encourages visitors to explore the history and future of PRD in their own ways. They will find out the responses to the multiple demands of people during city expansion and the conflicts emerged through observation, and think about and identify the potential prospects in re-structuring PRD through various assumptions and scenarios.
